Auto Exports Ranked in September 2024
Data show that China's auto exports in September amounted to 439,000 units, up 4.5% sequentially and 22.2% year-on-year. the total volume of China's auto exports from January to September amounted to 3,486,000 units, an increase of up to 30% year-on-year.
Chery Automobile in this year's export boom performance is particularly eye-catching, single-month export volume for the first time across the 80,000 mark, the export volume ranked first. Geely, on the other hand, despite the challenge of a drop of nearly 20 percent from the previous month, kept its export volume at a high level of 35,000 units, and for the second month in a row, it pipped MG to take the runner-up spot. MG, on the other hand, with a 15.7% YoY growth, its export volume rebounded to 33,000 units, successfully countering Haval and returning to the top three in export volume.
GAC Chuanqi, Polaris, Xingtou and Jetway all achieved significant year-on-year increases in export volume, with GAC Chuanqi's export volume increasing by 77.8% year-on-year to 8,762 units, which not only greatly narrowed the gap between GAC Chuanqi and Polaris, but also moved up two places in the ranking to rank No. 15 in the brand list. In addition, Tesla, Volvo, Geely, Changan and Buick saw a downward trend in export volume from the previous year.
In terms of the model list, Chery has seven models among the Top 20, and it is worth mentioning that the Ruihu 7 series solidified its leading position as the champion with a good export performance of more than 20,000 units. The Ruihu 5x series also showed extraordinary strength and successfully surpassed the MG ZS to rank second on the list. Four Geely models are on the list, including the Xingyue L, which returns to the Top 10 with an increase of 84.5% YoY, while the Volvo EX30, a newcomer, makes its debut on the list in September with an export volume of 7,349 units.
The Jetway X70, on the other hand, hit a new high this year, with a 57.4% YoY increase in export volume to 6,965 units, ranking 16th. omunda's export volume also made a major breakthrough, with a YoY increase of 42.8% to 12,000 units, improving its ranking to sixth. The Volvo EX30 made its debut among the top 20, with export volume reaching 7,349 units in September, up 33% q-o-q to rank No. 15. However, the export volume of the Bo Yue L, Ruihu 8, Ruihu 3x, Enclave and Colorado models all declined to varying degrees, especially the Bo Yue L, which saw its export volume drop by 44.7% q-o-q, slipping down the rankings to No. 12.
